The primary body modifications include a 1942 Packard radiator shell with a polished aluminum grill insert adapted to the front sheet metal. A Dan Fink hood latch mechanism is used so the hood opens from either the right or left. A Buick Estate wagon roof with sliding racks and a sunroof is installed into the roof. The front and rear bumpers are frenched in with Fiat headlamps. The tail lights have been molded into the rear body panels. New running boards were fabricated with stainless steel inserts and molded to the front and rear fenders. Front signal lights are sunken into the belt line at the “B” pillar while dual antennae are sunken into the right fender. Knowing the reputation of suicide doors opening inadvertently, Jack installed “Bear Claw” door latches as a safety measure along with seat belts. The door rubbers are new. Numerous other minor modifications were completed to compliment the overall theme of this creation. The exterior panels are finished with three base coat colours and three coats of hand polished clear coat. Hand applied pinstriping accents the body character lines. New late model bucket seats and the rear jump seat are re-upholstered in White naugahyde with Green naugahyde accent inserts which are co-ordinated with the exterior belt line graphics. New Classic gauges are installed in a custom dashboard with a JVC sound system. tilt steering column. Note the speedometer reads in KPH or can easily be converted to MPH. A custom steering wheel is mounted on a tilt column. Vintage Air 1200 unit with air condition, heat and defrost controls are operated from an overhead consul along with a Nextar GPS system. A complete new Painless Wiring system is mounted inside the left rear interior panel to be fully accessible; the wiring throughout the vehicle is also new. The entry doors and rear panels are operated electrically as are the power windows. The battery is mounted beneath the floor pan. New tinted safety glass used in all windows also with new rubber seals. The vehicle is equipped with power front disc brakes, power assisted rack and pinion steering, power door locks, power windows and air ride front and rear suspension. The air ride is activated from a panel in the over head bulkhead to control the compressor and “Ride Pro” module mounted inside the right rear interior panels. All mechanical components are new. The drivetrain made up with a rebuilt 355” Chev in an extensively detailed engine compartment, 700R4 transmission and a Lincoln nine inch differential. The truck rides on new Firestone Wide Track radials mounted on Weld wheels. Updated safety features include seat belts, power disc brakes and a dual master cylinder among others. The vehicle is registered as a 1937 Dodge on original ownership.
