This is a genuine Lemans Blue SS 396, we have a photo of the car in original condition. Body off frame restored to stock condition from the AM radio to the date coded plug wires.
EXTERIOR: The body and paint show very well. A before restoration picture shows a complete and solid car to start with. The body is straight and the panels fit very nicely. Looking good with spoilers, and the SS hood with chrome "ice cube" trays. Factory Lemans Blue without a vinyl top. Overall, very good looking paint that is laid out evenly and has a glossy finish. The chrome and trim are shiny and straight. The windshield and rear window were replaced. It's rolling on a set of staggered size color matched rims with poverty hubcaps. They are wearing radial redline tires, fatter in back on 15" rims, 14s in front.
INTERIOR: It's overall very nice inside and still looks completely authentic down to the AM radio. The seats have been reupholstered and recushioned, they are nice and firm. The door panels and armrests have been replaced. Down on the floor the carpet was replaced, overhead the headliner was replaced. The dash pad, window cranks, handles, knobs, vents, mirror were replaced. The center console, seatbelts, heater control panel are good originals. The SS steering wheel was replaced and is on a tilt column. A vintage tachometer is also mounted on the column.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It is an L78 which is the high performance 396-375 hp motor. It actually has a 454 CE replacement block. It does still have the factory rectangular port heads with GM aluminum intake and a Holley dual feed carb. It also has stock exhaust manifolds, chrome valve covers and air cleaner, stock distributor with reproduction dated plug wires. It has the big block heater core, reproduction hoses, clamps, fan, shroud and the radiator is upgraded aluminum painted black to look stock. The alternator, wiper motor and power brakes look proper, the squirters are even hooked up. The wiring harness was replaced, the battery has reproduction cables. The metal surfaces are painted neatly, and the original trim tag is still on the firewall.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It is clean and complete under the trunk lid and the jamb are painted nicely; it has new weatherstrip. Inside is a blue painted rim with another red line tire for a spare and it has the correct jack assembly. Inside is solid with a spatter finish and a plaid rubber mat.
UNDERSIDE: It looks like all the components were removed including the frame during restoration. It was all put back together with rebuilt or new parts. The steering and suspension were rebuilt, springs, shocks, bushings replaced. Old school traction bars were added. The brake system was completely rebuilt, has disc in front. The lines and e-brake cables were replaced. It has a great sounding dual exhaust with a crossover pipe and Flowmaster mufflers. The fuel system was replaced. Looking up at the motor it is fresh Chevy Orange with a stock starter. The Turbo 400 automatic has a chrome pan.
SERVICE: We take pride in our cars and reputation. Therefore, we built a 2 million dollar, 10,000 square ft service center, and hired a team of technicians to work it. This is so we can sell you the best cars within reason.
This Camaro intrigues me. I love the "before" picture in original condition. I love the Lemans Blue with redlines and the performance big block under the hood. They don't all need serpentine belts, stereos, and big wheels, it is nice to see one as it looked over 50 years ago!

One great option is to request a personalized walk-around video, where we can showcase the car and share our team's insights. **Our cars are displayed within a museum setting. If you are interested in a specific vehicle, please schedule an appointment with a salesperson to view it. Without an appointment, there is an admission fee to enter the showroom.
